Meet Joey Houghtaling

The Iron Horse Hotel has teamed up with Bittercube and Joey Houghtaling to curate and help elevate the cocktail program at the Iron Horse Hotel.  Joey is the United States Bartenders Guild Milwaukee Chapter President and has won a number of cocktail competitions including the 2012 Bombay Sapphire Most Imaginative Bartender Milwaukee and was a 2012 Woodford Reserve Manhattan Project Finalist.
Nick Kosevich and Ira Koplowitz are the proprietors of Bittercube and  their cocktail programs have been recognized nationally for creativity and innovation.  Over the last five years they have trained more than 150 bartenders.  Beyond consulting, they own a bitters company that produces slow-crafted Midwest Bitters in Madison, WI.  Bittercube has been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Food & Wine Magazine amongst other publications.
To kick off the collaboration Joey will be guest bartending at The Iron Horse Hotel on Wednesday, May 21 from 6-10 p.m. featuring a few ‘sneak-peak’ cocktails from the spring menu.
